Oftentimes characters used in Bibles do not match (or work with) ones keyboard settings and/or regional settings. This can result in the wrong characters being displayed. A good example of this is the Transliterated texts for Greek and Hebrew (although one could apply the same principle to almost any language). By substituting characters one can create a text that reads true in the original language. The Character Mapper is a multi-pass compiler, which allows one to globally replace the offending characters and create a completely new Bible text with character representations that match your computer settings as well as seamlessly integrating it into BibleDatabase. |

For example. The BibleDatabase
transliterated Greek Bibles can be character substituted to view with
the proper Greek characters (Greek font) with the following character
substitutions:
The first cycle is as follows (The text below may not display
correctly if you do not have the correct font installed)
Character Mapper can perform the above steps in one simple action and create a new text within seconds. |
